Conference Call with IBM to take place next week
A conference call is to take place next week (beginning 6 April) with IBM's Karla Norsworthy (Vice President, Software Standards) and Dirk Nicol (Program Director, Cloud Standards) in which we will suggest ways in which they can get involved with the Open Cloud Initiative (OCI).
We will also propose revitalisation of the Open Cloud Manifesto (OCM) by subjecting it to the same open community consensus process as is proposed for the Open Cloud Principles (OCP). Given the tepid reception of this important document we hope that they will agree that this is a good way to restore confidence.
It is encouraging that IBM are paying attention to community-related initiatives (having already met with other large companies in New York last week to discuss such issues) and we look forward to working with them.
